1. jazz-hiphop-deactivated20130217 asked: any recommended accessories on a guy?(watch, bracelets)

I’m not really much of a fan of wearing a lot of accessories, to be honest.

A watch (braun or timex, for example) and a few very simple and clean bracelets will do it for me.

  2. Anonymous asked: I've recently got a pair of red wing boots and I'm sort of having trouble matching them with clothing. Any reference I can refer to or pictures?

Congrats on your purchase, I really think those boots look insanely great!

I do blog quite a bit about them, so you can check my blog’s archive and  I’m sure you’ll find something. Here are a few examples:

  3. Anonymous asked: Hi, I've been following your blog for a while a noticed someone asking about boots. I thought about getting Sorel Mad Boot Lace or the leather Clarks Wallabees for a while but I don't know if it will fit into this whole dressing nicely style. Suggestions?

I think the Mad Boot model looks amazing, to be honest. I’ve already confessed in past questions that I’m not much of a fan of Wallabees, but they work for some people. The important thing here is to wear stuff that makes you feel comfortable. If you like them, try to find a way to wear them that represents your own style ;)

  4. Anonymous asked: Do you know where I could find a pair of skinny kind of jeans like the you post regulary as they are not too skinny but more slimline which are really cool but for cheap also what would you recommend for a 6" tall guy, 32 length jeans or 34 with rolled up cuffs. Thanks btw awesome blog !!!!!

Look for slim straight jeans instead of skinny ones. You can try searching for a good pair on  Levi’s,  J.Crew, Gap… there are many places that carry good cheap denim, you just have to look around :)

As for the length of the jeans, I think it depends if you wear them rolled up often. If so, the extra inches can help you roll them nicely and avoid making them look like they’re a pair of Capris.

  5. Anonymous asked: I need help finding a wallet. I don't like taking a bag out with me and at times I don't like putting my wallet in my back pocket. Should I get card holder and a money clip?

    Hi!

I also hate carrying a wallet, I find it very uncomfortable. Your solution seems like a good one. Money clips are really practical and you can get a slim card holder to place only your most important cards. You could also get a very slim wallet with just a few card compartments so you force yourself to carry only what’s really necessary. If it’s slim enough you can easily carry it on your front pocket.

  6. Anonymous asked: Any tips for getting denim stains off clarks desert boots?

Try to clean them with a special suede cleaner, for example this one. There are tons of brands you can try. Anyway, try not to worry too much, desert boots look perfectly fine when they’re aged and stained (to an extent, obviously). It gives them personality.

  7. Anonymous asked: Know any good loafer type shoes that are like toms? for both casual and formal ish wear

It’s hard to know what is exactly what you’re looking for but I’ll give you a few options:

    ALDO Caffery casual loafers.

Topman espadrilles (they’re basically another kind of TOMS and they come in a lot of different colors and patterns)

    ALDO Decenzo casual loafers.

    Timberland Earthkeeper loafers.

ALDO espadrilles. (They also come in different colors and designs)

TOMS Freetown espadrilles. (These are a great pair of classic TOMS. Comfortable and good looking, give them a try!)

    Hope I helped!

  8. Anonymous asked: which one is more popular, clarks desert boot beeswax leather, taupe suede or oakwood suede? I'm having trouble deciding on either one

I think they’re very different from one another, but the three kinds can work. It just depends on how do you wear them, but if I had to choose, I’d go for a pair of oakwood or taupe first.

  9. Anonymous asked: How do you roll up pants/khakis/jeans? I can never roll them up properly

I don’t think there’s only one correct way to do that. It depends on the kind of pants you’re dealing with, but basically you just have to grab the bottom and roll it up a couple times, sometimes it doesn’t have to look perfectly neat to be great.

One thing you do need to have in mind is that you don’t want to roll the fabric more than a couple of inches above your ankles, but that’s more like a personal tip I guess.

    Happy rolling!

  10. Anonymous asked: I want to start dressing well and I don't know how to start. I am a 17 year old black guy and I'm not sure what colours would suit me. I wanna be preppy but not too smart. Any Tips?

This chart might be useful. I guess the most important thing is wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable. Try building a wardrobe starting with the basics (a good pair of jeans, khakis, basic colored shirts, etc) and maybe later you can start being more adventurous. Building your own style should be a pleasant experience, so don’t forget to have fun!

  11. Anonymous asked: any ideas for outfits especially shoes for rainy days?

How about a nice rain coat or jacket, a simple sweater, khakis or jeans and a pair of wellington boots (you can also wear normal shoes with overshoes in them). An idea I just came up with… Hope it helps!

PS: Don’t forget your umbrella ;)

  12. Anonymous asked: We're can I get a good pair of khaki pants , not to fancy like an almost denim

    J. Crew has many different options and while they’re a bit more expensive than other brands their quality is really amazing. You can also check American Eagle for some good ones, they’re not as pricey but they look really good and are very, very comfortable. Finally, you can even check GAP for some good Khakis that match the ‘almost denim’ look you’re looking for.

These are only just a few options, though. Good luck finding the right pair for you!
